Ed Posh Scholarship Announces Five New Scholarships for 2009
The Ed Posh Scholarship Fund, founded in 1995, provides college tuition assistance to local area youth. To date, the Fund has provided over $387,000 in scholarship grants to 58 deserving students. Cass Hoffmeister, chairman of the scholarship committee announced the five new 2009 scholars, saying "It was a pleasure meeting so many well qualified candidates. Selecting the final five was a difficult task."
The five new scholars for 2009 are:
Patrick Williams: a senior at Glenbard South High School, will attend the University of Illinois and is seeking a degree in Business Marketing.
David Tykvart: also a senior at Glenbard South, will attend DePauw University in Indiana to pursue a degree in Political Science and International Relations.
Allison Motel: a senior from Glenbard West, will attend DePaul University to study Environmental Science.
LaRonda Rucker: a senior from Glenbard East, plans to pursue a career in Nursing at Southern Illinois University.
Megan Vesevick: a senior from Wheaton North High School, will attend Indiana Wesleyan University and plans to study Human Behavior.
