During the Annual Awards Dinner, hosted by the Glen Ellyn Chamber of Commerce, held on Febr. 26, 2019 at the Abbington Distinctive Banquet location, Ed Posh received the prestigious SENIOR CITIZEN OF THE YEAR AWARD.
The PAUL HERWALDT SENIOR CITIZEN OF THE YEAR AWARD was presented by Paul Herwaldt’s son, Doug Herwaldt! Since his start in 1967 as the head professional at the Village Links Golf Course, he taught the Glen Ellyn Youth not only the fundamentals of golf but also created lifelong friendships with many of his pupils. After his retirement he and his friends started the ED POSH SCHOLARSHIP FUND and since 1996 a total of 93 scholars received scholarship funding of almost $ 800,000. Ed Posh still remains active in the community and his legacy what he has done for the youth of Glen Ellyn continues to build.
